Now Playing Tracks

Just like this little kid who is hopeful and ready for adventure, so am I! As many of you may already know, I am excited to say that I have applied and been accepted to go on a mission’s trip through an organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). The entire program is 6 months long. The first 3 months I will be in Kona, Hawaii for the “lecture phase” where I will be trained for outreach at their Awaken Discipleship Training School with a team. The Awaken DTS will also include:

* Learning to hear and obey God’s voice through the Word of God and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
* Understanding the world we live in and the importance of worship, intercessory prayer, community    and spiritual warfare.
* Discovering callings and gifts.

The field assignment:

After this training, I will be putting into practice all I have learned. This next phase of the DTS is 11-12 weeks long and will take place overseas. I am not sure on the exact location yet because I will choose upon my arrival in Kona. I will be taking the Gospel to places where people may have never even heard the name of Jesus and participating in expanding God’s kingdom. Outreach activities will include:
* evangelism
* teaching
* preaching
* prophesying and reaching out to present Jesus in a variety of other creative, apostolic ways.
I am believing that when God said we would do greater things than Jesus, that he meant it!

Course fees and dates:

Arrival day for Hawaii is July 5, 2012
Total estimated cost is $9,995
Fees for the 12-week lecture phase of the school are $3,995 (room, board and tuition). Fees for the field assignment include airfares, housing and food, and are estimated to be around $5,000-$6000 depending on various locations. This money will also provide two meals a day, all air fair, living expenses, as well as health insurance. The trip is being funded entirely through donations as well as myself. I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister, and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this mission trip.

How you can help:

If you are able to assist with this trip, there are a couple ways to donate.
CHECKS: I would ask that you forward any donation to me with the check or money order payable to “Water of Life” as they will be handling all my funds. These checks are tax deductible and you will receive your tax receipts at the end of the year. In the memo line, please write “Eric Sepulveda: Kona Awaken DTS Missionary 2012

ONLINE: 1. go to wateroflifecc.org 2. Create a Water of Life web account (only if don’t have already) 3. Click on “Give Online” 4. When you are in the “schedule new contribution” page, go to the “fund” drop box and click “missionaries” 5. in the “sub fund” box click “Sepulveda”

The deadline for all the monies is rapidly approaching (unless monthly supporter). If you would like to be a monthly supporter, please email or call me so we can make the proper arrangements. I say “Mahalo” in advance for your prayers and your financial support. I would love to keep you updated every month while I am away so please email me your name and email as soon as possible so I can add you to my outgoing monthly updates. If you and your family cannot support me financially, please support me in prayer which is just as important. Pray that God will keep me protected while I am out in the world fulfilling a dream of mine. May God bless you richly!
